Leslie is known primarily for fronting Austin's dream gaze band, Moving Panoramas. She also plays solo, leads a honky tonk group called The Rated Exes, and has participated in multiple projects tributing Loretta Lynn, Olivia Newton-John, Kate Bush, Mazzy Star, The Cure, Elliott Smith, John Lennon, Nico, and Leonard Cohen.
Her history includes time in The Wooden Birds, Matt Pond PA, Black Forest Fire, Western Keys, Black Lipstick, The Killing Fields, The Mona Jane, Pavo, Tanworth-in-Arden, and Aero Wave, with cameos for American Analog Set, Windsor for the Derby, Rhythm of Black Lines, John Wesley Coleman, Mark Gardener of Ride, Dan Mangan, and Broken Social Scene. She also toured as crew for Vampire Weekend, ...And You Will Know Us by the Trail of Dead, and Sons and Daughters.
Aside from music, her background consists of working in television, technology, education, and design, holding BS and MFA degrees in film and art, both from UT Austin. She has worked for WNYC, SXSW, Apple, UT Austin, NBC, NY Film Academy, School of Rock, Gotham Girls Roller Derby, and Texas Rollergirls, with post-production work airing on Food Network, TLC, TruTV, and PBS.
The Austin Chronicle has published her writing, including a cover story about how music changed her life and a feature story about balancing music and work in Austin.
Her best friends are her father, Weldon, and a rescue Chihuahua named Hazy who she takes almost everywhere.
